Today I want to share with you some more details about the new Moleskine® Cover Art Collection.
Moleskine® has selected the three artists Benjamin Barrios (Mexican costume and set designer), Paul Desmond (English illustrator) and Maykel Cordeiro Nunes (Brazilian graphic artist) to start the Cover Art Collection. They are available in the known formats ruled, plain and squared and feature Singer sewn binding. They all come in the format 27.6 x 21.4 x 1 cm and contain 96 pages 80gsm FSC paper. They are sold in packages of you journals to give you plenty of writing space.
The artists were selected from the Moleskine® community they have created on the site, where members can upload their arts and share them with the community. Each artist was asked to chose a non-profit organisation and Moleskine® will make a donation for each image used.
.
Moleskine® has created bookmarks and also notebook covers (print, fold and glue to get the shape) for the Pocket size. These can be downloaded for free in the members area. I highly recommend you log in and have a look (http://www.moleskine.com/mymoleskine/msk_templates.php). It will allow you to become better acquainted with the artists and their drawings. I have just downloaded and printed the bookmark with the art by Benjamin Barrios and I have to say I look very much forward to add it to the book I currenty read (“Do it tomorrow” by Mark Forster).
