I am so excited to have my own .com presence now. I have run my blog on wordpress.com for a while and decided now to move it to my own host to have more flexivility with it.
I am Marcus, I live in a small village in Switzerland since 2009 and I adore paper.
Technological progression is important and I love all the gadgets I have: my MacBookand my iPhone in particular. Environmental factors are also important and I really do my bit to save the environment whereever I can, ie with recycling our waste or – and this makes me kind of proud – recycling other people’s waste and put it to good use again. Whenever I go the the Recycling place around the corner I check for stuff that could still be used. Half of our balcony’s shelfs are from there.
With this in mind I know how important it is to save trees. Nevertheless I still use paper and it is my endeavor to use it wisely whenever I use it.
Paper is precious to me and I seriously want to make good use of it. I write a diary or journal and I use Moleskine® hardcover notebooks for this. At work use the softcover Moleskine® notebooks for my GTD (Getting Things Done) approach. My calendar is a Moleskine® 18 months planner.
You noticed – I like my Moleskine® notebooks.

I just finished a book the other day (The Art of the Handwritten Note: A Guide to Reclaiming Civilized Communication) and the following is said:
“A handwritten note is like dining by candlelight instead of flicking on the lights, like making a gift instead of ordering a product, like taking a walk instead of driving. Handwritten notes will add a lot to you life. You can still use the telephone or the Web for the daily chores of staying in touch, but for the words that matter, it’s courteous, classy, caring and civilized to pick up a pen.”
.
With this in mind, I wish you a happy writing, journalling, drawing ….
Marcus
